Over the years you develop connections to people, places and things that are nice to share; little discoveries that can be fun and helpful to those of similar mind and passions. Here are some of mine, with explanations as necessary.
Richard Brune – www.rebrune.com. Richard has taken upon himself the task of collecting, cataloguing and generally examining the entrails of everything to do with the Spanish guitar. He’s a great resource of info and has a delightful column in Vintage Guitar Magazine.
Guild of American Luthiers - www.luth.com. Guitarmaker central with a quarterly publication and lots to see in the website.
Gilmer Wood Company - www.gilmerwood.com. Even if you aren’t a woodworker there are some pretty interesting woods at Miles Gilmer’s establishment. Guitars in the raw state and some perspective on how it starts out.
Ron Fernandez - www.fernandezmusic.com. Ron has everything from shellac to charangos and if you don’t know what a charango is you should drop by. If you don’t know what a Portuguese guitar looks like either, you should check in and find out.
